Hey everyone,

Just finished listening to the AM Podcast good work everyone involved and after Ake's talk of Apocalypse battles just thought Id post a few pics of a 21K a side battle I had last year between myself and my bro versus my best mate.

Took just over 2 days and featured 3 FW GD, A Brass Scorpion and a Baneblade. Yet still the Imperials won (thanks to some clever datasheet usage I will admit).

If you are interested I may be able to get some more pics up or some close ups.

now I'm working full time and with new tyranids next year I feel the urge to step up from around 2500-3000pts of nids to a decent 5k army at least for big games.

Looks very clean, bright and open there, as opposed to Ake's cluttered, dark and cramped battle, and it's one louder Grin (Yay cliche!).  A great thing about Apocalypse is how it shows off the variety of models.  The size of these games are mind boggleling to me as I've never played a game larger than 1k.

Yeah unfortunately we didnt have enough terrain to cover 3 6 x 4 tables. Looking at getting some of the planetstrike terrain though.

Yeah was one of the best games I've ever played other than a couple of Fantasy games back in the well must be 4th edition I guess.

Vortex grenades for the win! Took out a brass scorpion and some wounds off Angraath (The cool Daemon with the Whip, a massive bloodthirster). Also made an Ares pattern Land Raider especially for that battle.
