PLANS FOR THE FUTURE!
Got bored, so I decided, 'Hey! why not post a few of my lists for future forces...'
So here they are. A few I left off and will need a lot of editing, so anything that's a bit messed up, just bare with me... Enjoy!

4500pt Imperial Fists Apocalypse List
(Well, 4498pts to be precise…)

HQ: 340pts

Captain Lysander: 200pts

Librarian: 140pts
Terminator armour, storm shield
Psychic powers: Might of the Ancients and Gate of Infinity

Elites: 2835pts

Dreadnaught Drop Pod: 35pts

Troops: 758pts

10 Man Tactical Squad: 170pts

10 Man Tactical Squad: 170pts
Flamer and Missile Launcher

Tactical Squad Drop Pod Drop Pod: 35pts

10 Man Tactical Squad: 175pts
Melta Gun and Multi Melta

Tactical Squad Drop Pod Drop Pod: 35pts

8 Man Scout Squad: 138pts
All with Sniper Rifles and Camo Cloaks

Fast attack: 0pts

Heavy Support: 565pts

Land Raider Redeemer: 250pts
Multi Melta

5 Man Devastator Squad: 230pts
4 Lascannons

Devastator Razorback: 85pts
Twin-linked Lascannons
Storm Bolter

Army Total: 4498pts

Tactics:

Annihilation:
Box opponent in with deep striking Tactical Squads, Terminators and infiltrating scouts and just pulverise them to death. Land Raider just Zooms up as fast as it can to kill stuff, while Devastators Zap away on foot or from the safety of their Razorback, which adds its Weaponry to the anti tank/terminator killing power! Lysander, well it’s obvious! Jump in and kill everything!

Seize Ground:
Scout squad, Devastators w/Librarian, and maybe a single tactical squad defend home objective, while other 2 Tactical Squads deep strike onto nearest two objectives. Terminators occupy all enemy forces, provide support and contest any enemy held objectives!

Capture and Control:
Most of my Troop choices stay back at my objective (Which would be placed in deep cover to make use of those Camo Cloaks, as with every objective mission!) along with the super lascannon overkill squad/transport, while terminators, dreadnaught and anything else (including maybe 1 tactical squad) deep strike right on top of the enemy objective and just kill everything and contest/control enemy objective.

DETAILS:

The Librarian will set up with Devastators in most circumstances in my deployment zone, so if anything comes up to CC them to death he can add a punch with MIGHT OF THE ANCIENTS psychic power. Or he can get the squad out of trouble and teleport them all 24” away with GATE OF INFINITY. In any other case, they might just all go inside the Razorback and pound the enemy with two lascannons (Signum!) out of the hatches, all the while with razorback Twin linked lascannon. In this case the librarian will probably join a terminator squad.

Now for the BA's... Just a note: I play for fun mostly, but I still try to get a competetive list, and a lot of my armies are based around the idea of: if It can kill hardcore Necron forces, then it can kill everything! While not strictly true, there is some truth to this. I'm used to assaulting a lot, and BA's were just fantastical, with all those Power weapons! Cheesy

BLOOD ANGELS LIST: 1750pts/£272

As a side note, if anyone knows how to paint BA's quickly without highlighting and things, because I can't highlight/washes and things, although that may surprise people (only 3 yrs of painting experiance for me), then please tell me!

HQ: 490pts

Commander Dante: 200pts £10

5 Honour Guard; one model with Chapter Banner and Plasma Gun, One Tech Adept, One Sanguinary Priest, one with Power Weapon and One with Powerfist. All have Jump Packs: 265pts £20

Mephiston: 225pts £12

Elites: 400pts

5 Veteran Assault Marines including Veterans that have a Power Weapon and Melta Bombs each: 210pts £15

Death Company Furioso Dreadnaught with Extra armour: 140pts £30

Drop Pod (Furioso Dread): 50pts £18

5 Death Company: 0pts £18

Rhino (Mephiston & Death Company): 40pts £18

Troops: 550pts

5 Assault Marines including Sergeant with Power weapon and Melta Bombs: 160pts £15

5 Assault Marines including Sergeant with Power weapon and Melta Bombs: 160pts £15

10 Tactical Marines, Including Lascannon and Sergeant with Power Weapon and Melta Bombs: 230pts £26

Fast Attack: 50pts

Attack Bike with Multi-Melta: 50pts £15

Heavy Support: 265pts

Vindicator: 125pts £25

Baal Predator with Heavy Bolter Sponsons and Extra armour: 140pts £35

Strangely enough, I used to hate Catachans! But then, something twigged, and I realised just how unbeleivably awesome they are. Muscled warriors with flashlights, who walk around with flamers just like marines. No pansy cadian shoulder straps for them! Aside from being awesome, Straken really gives a good fluffy feel on the table top, only enhancing the vision of muscley warriors with his rules. All for 95pts too! nice...

Cost Estimate: £472

HQ: 395pts

SUPER HEAVY FOR APOCALYPSE: STORMLORD: 500pts

CAN ANYONE SUGGEST A COMBAT PATROL LIST THAT CAN BE MADE FROM ALL OF THAT?

This list was originally posted on the MWG forum, by me, but it went unnoticed. That forum is too big for its own good, if you ask me... though I did get some good responses from them at the time!

-------------------------------------------
Army Total: 2031

The list came to 2031pts this time. Dang. Need to get it 2000pts dead on. Or maybe I’ll up it to 2250pts, as all those drone models I’m gonna have left over have to go somewhere, even if most people don’t agree with them. And besides, I really like the drone models… So, yet again, rate the list! Can’t wait for even more feedback, everyone’s been really helpful! Thanks MWG community,
From the guy with the Tau army list that’s better than yours….

(No offence, I’m sure there’s a lot of Tau armies out there that are way better….)
Also, if you could give me some more tactics, as I didn’t really get any with the last feedback, which would be great. (I’ll hopefully post up some of my own tactics)

Kinda got bored of making this army list, mostly because I found out Shining spears only get the Str 6 power weps on the turn they assault... but Hit&Run sorts this out... Oh, and at the end, it should say "Plus two or three Titans"

CAN ANYONE SUGGEST A COMBAT PATROL LIST THAT CAN BE MADE FROM ALL OF THAT [Imperial Guard]?

List A.
The Stormlord. Cool

Okay maybe not, bear in mind I don't know what combat patrol you capitalised so I'm just using the old rules that I know from WD284uk.  400pts 1 Troop min.

List B.
Troop: Grenadier Veteran Squad, sergeant with Powerfist.
Transport: Chimera with extra armour.
Troop: Veteran Squad, meltagun.
(Using one of the Infantry Squads)
Elite: 8 Storm Troopers.

There is also room to give one of the veteran sergeants a boltpistol.

Please drop the storm troopers. They are a horrific waste of points.

Yes they are, I just like their armour penetration, that I can deep strike them, and pistol charge with them.  They propably are a lot more useless when placed in an enviroment that include MEQs.

List C.
Troop: Grenadier Veteran Squad, sergeant with Powerfist.
Transport: Chimera with extra armour.
Troop: Veteran Squad, meltagun*2. (Using one of the Infantry Squads)
Troop: Grenadier Veteran Squad, Plasma gun and Meltagun.

Well thanks for the feedback guys! But remember to keep in mind that I don't make unkillable lists for tournies, I play for fun first and foremost, and if that means taking what I like (which it does) then thats how it is. 'Sides, the stuff I like the look of I find a way to fit into my armies. No offense to anyone, but I think a lot of you seem very formal and uptight! If I'm wrong, sorry. Just sayin', 'specially the mods. Anyhoo, back to the battlin'!

Just a thought, in regards to J8s post;  if you are going to include grenadier veteran squads with only two special weapons, why not take Inquisitional Storm Troopers instead? Same points base for a unit of 10, plasma guns are 5 points cheaper, hellgun (S 3 AP 5) and targeter, and not relying on the Sergent for LD 8.

Disadvantage is that you can't issue orders to them however...

Also, it really depends on the character of your army. Personally I'm going to be playing an Inquisitional heavy Guard army myself so that's what my mind is on at the moment anyway...

I'm similar to you, if i like the model than its in wether or not if its good. My Eldar army always gets funny looks when I pull out 2 squads of rangers and 4 squads of guardians, but I like the models. On the topic of stormtroopers i like the models and their fluff, and they are fun to paint. Plus when a  sub-par unit does something amazing I love seeing the look of shock on peoples faces. i.e. guardians beat berzerkers in cc. Grin

I am a largely Mech player... So I'd drop something and put everyone in Chimera's. Cheap little bugs they are, and in Combat patrol, people will usually find tanks as quite a surprise, especially 3! And it keeps my squishy guys safe Xd... Plus, who doesn't like giant flashlights and Heavy ~~~DAKKAFLAKKABLASTAZ~~~ Bolters? err... I had a green moment there... o.O

I'm currently building my CF's ATM, but which army should I focus on after? I like the idea of BA's, but I wouldn't know where to begin with painting them... (basically - black undercoat, 1 layer of w/e red is best, then pick out the eyes, metal bits, eagle etc; Suggestions please!!! I know I paint basically... but I still paint, and that's a first for a lot of people!) or IG! fun and awesome, and I think what got me hooked is, to quote Robin cruddace; "There's something about normal men defeating the odds that makes you proud to be a Guardsman."
'nuff said.

And yes, can I get response on things OTHER THAN THE IG! And not just on the specific questions posted - just tell me what y'all think!

'Very formal and uptight', this elitest takes that as a compliment. Tongue

*Quickly licks tomato sauce off arm.*

I Actually didn't give the lists all that much thought I merely made some of the models fit the points.  I'm certainly not demanding you do anything these were meant to be fun suggestions for you to try out, after all combat patrols play so fast you can try all sorts of variety quite quickly.

List D
Troop: Penal Legion Troop.
Troop: Penal Legion Troop.
Troop: Penal Legion Troop.
Troop: 10 INQ Storm Troopers, Plasma gun and Meltagun.

As I was writting you replied:
But there's a lot there Sad, I'll have a look at it soon, I think'll start from the top.

Cheesy Is that a hint of 'the (foreboding) lighter side of that certain gamer? Dare I ask. Sure, I'm glad of the response I already have. Lol, I thought I'd have about 200 replies to this by now! XD Might PM everyone a link to this thread, but then again that'd probably annoy somebody. Meh. If the mods agree...

I don't have any IG yet anyway, so :d.

What I will have hopefully by January (new editions to my army):

Chaplain
SM strike force
Another razorback
Replacement Sternguard vet squad
Replacement Peddykinz
10 more Assault marines
Tactical squad, split into two five men squads and added to my devastator squads to make 10 each
another Devastator squad
two more tactical squads.

And with that, I bid you MEH.
