Okay everybody, an unexpected turn for me. As you may have probably guessed from the title, I'm starting up a Space Pups army. I honestly have no idea how it happened; I just looked at the codex, and built an army list. I tend to build army lists for every codex a read, especially the SM codex, must have about 30+ lists by now! Emperor knows where they are though... Anyway, as with most of my army lists, this has swollen to 2,500pts (Actually, 2,501pts  Cheesy)
so it must be my magic (pts) number. This, of course, will be my first proper army that has a stard and a finish. 'Least that's the plan. I bet you're all sitting there wondering what the list is? Well, then here you go!

The same thing happened to my friend playing Necrons. He saw the new wolves and decided to build a new army. As for the build I can't really comment on Wolves yet, not having looked too much into them and not have played against them yet.

Looking forward to seeing some pictures.

My armies would be finished if I would just stop getting new models.  Undecided

Naw, 'Super-interchangable Space Wolves' have more conversion options. Eldar have good models, but most are feeble metal ones. Wolves, we have epic kits that are some of the best already, yet we can convert them to make them even better. Personally, I think the best models are the ones that have background, are well modelled and painted. Anyway - NO SPAM PLEASE! Keep on topic guys... or take it somewhere else...

But yes I agree, wolves have been made overpowed as oppose to normal marines, OR as I truly beleive (wtf - contradiction), the wolves codex is the improvements that GW would make to the SM codex now if they could. No other explanation, I mean compare the tactical marine to the Grey hunter:
                          WS     BS     S    T      W    I    A  LD   SV
Tactical Marine:   4        4      4    4      1     4   1   8    3+
Grey Hunter:       4        4      4    4      1     4   1   8    3+

No differance, you say? Well take a looksie at the Special rules and Wargear:

Grey Hunter:

Wargear: Bolter, Bolt Pistol, CCW, Frag 'n' Krak 'nades, power armour
Special Rules: And They Shall Know No Fear, acute senses, counter attack

That CCW alone makes all the differance! And for those of you who don't know the differance between tictac marine and Hunters:

Tactical:

Wargear: Bolter, Bolt Pistol, Frag 'n' Krak 'nades, power armour. (No ccw!  Cry )
Special Rules: And They Shall Know No Fear.

SEE?

And last of all, the pts per model...

Tactical tictac marine: first 90pts for 5 you have to pay, then its 16pts per model from then on! 10 guys = 170pts.

Grey Hunters: Scrapped the 90pts, it's just 15 (yes, FIFTEEN) pts per model so 10 Grey Hunters = 150pts! Insanity!

I rest my case...

... I pick up my Wolf tooth Necklace. wO0T.

Yes but then you look at the rest of the entrys and realise that the majority of tem are based off blood claws which are WS and BS 3 this makes a huge differnece ro averages and ability of these units. So grey hunters are the acception the this rule of trainees hence why they seem much better than tactical marines. In short you stay as a blood claw longer so you can train to be a grey hunter which requires more skill than that of a tactical marine.

Y'know, I think most aspects of Codex Chapter training is better... but actually I recently figured it out.

Normal Space Marines cost more and don't have a CCW because of combat tactics and combat squads. Combat tactics is pretty crap, but if you've got Vulcan or someone in there, it's massive! Combat squads... meh. Pretty decent ability, I think. Space Wolves have Acute Senses and Counter attack (and the ccw ^^) instead. Acute senses isn't that great, but it fits with the fluff and I like it for that, but otherwise it doesn't help much. Dawn of War; 1 turn on Night fighting, y'know, 1 in 3 chance of getting that deployment anyway, so it doesn't help that often, but I suppose even that could mean the difference between victory and defeat... Counter Attack - usually the Space Wolves are the ones charging, it's just a bit of a failsafe if you ask me... but a pretty damn good one though.

There. Justification for y'all. Meh.
