The problem is not ending the campaign, but giving the FoO a fair chance to respond, which they seem to be lacking at in the moment - battle reporting is basically non-existent.
I'm getting ready to announce a last day of posting, and getting this wrapped up so we can work on the other projects properly, get the fluff in place, and prepare for a System Invasion of the Aftermath System.
This will give both sides a chance to regroup, do planning, and give me a chance to do the new map up that we will use for the campaign. This will be more focused on the planetary level of conflict, with specific targets on the planet surface and orbit. Veterans will remember how it works - if you're new, then it's basically the same way that things have been going, but instead of fighting over warzones that are planets, you are instead attacking areas of the planet, such as, say a space port.
It will also let us represent a last stand type scenario in a fresh manner, and will effectively eliminate the other warzones from the conflict entirely - they're pretty much lost now unless the FoO have a major push, which I doubt will happen.
Keeping these things in mind, the FoD have scored a decisive victory in the Sector. The question is, will these resources and warzones they have taken over be of use to them in the System Invasion? I'm curious to see what will happen...
Edit: The Librarium is starting to get filled out as well.
