Anyone else want to get duelling up and running again?

Second question, does anyone still have the rules? I still have most the changes we made at the end but not the actual rule set.

Duelling was always fun, I don't think I have the rules anywhere I can grope my hard drives for a duelling rules lump if you want.

Although I didn't have time to do it often, it was fun and from what I've seen on the internet hasn't been duplicated anywhere else. Unfortunately I don't have a copy of the rules either, although I wouldn't be surprised if Ake doesn't have a copy.

You may want to have a look here: http://eotaftermath.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=duel

Be warned though, it is very old, and doesn't have any of the changes that were done when it was on the website.

Anyway, gotta go for now, will sort more things out when I return.

I remember duelling looking p cool when I was hanging around the aftermath boards before I got an army. I'd be all for it coming back.

If I remember correctly, the rules were undergoing a number of changes at the time of the 'warpstorm'.

Would it be worth gettting a new rule set sorted to begin use with at the start of the campaign?

If we can manage to get something together we can make it a type of reportable game as it was in the past.

Nefarious Lair or something like that, I can't find it.. Will have a ganders at my harddrive, but as I re call there wasn't much on there about duelling, although I would like to see it back up and running, always had a bit of fun, especially with my dire Avenger... (even though I'm a guard player now :O)

The people who were working on the changes at the end was me Azakiel, J8 and I think Elvive. We had pretty much finished play testing everything at the end and were making our final changes.

I've got most the changes we made on my computer (mainly changes to how characters were healed, a shop, a loyalty system and some minor package changes).

I'm looking through the boards Ake posted now but I think this was the previous edition of the rules from one we were working on as I can't seen my test character on the rego thread.

Yes, this was definitely not the rule set we were using at the end. I'll try to spend some time on it today to update it back to where we had it.

For those who weren't around the first time, what is all this dueling about?

It was basically a means of playing online using a single character each, the rules have developed over the years to better suit the enviroment.

Now is this the 3rd or 4th or even 5th Aftermath?

I've actually written a completely different set of rules for the game, well mostly, though I would have find out where I've put it if people are interested in seeing it.

This is the way I remember it, but I might be wrong about this.

1st Edition was after the Eye of Terror campaign and used straight up HTML only and took place in the southern Ultima Segmentum...

2nd Edition seemed like a mish-mash of stuff that seems to cloud my brain a bit...

3rd Edition (Blue Edition, when everything went blue) got a little more advanced, and concentrated on the planet Aftermath in the Ultima Segmentum, started using Java and was a big step forward.

4th Edition was the second war for Aftermath. Things got a lot nicer looking.

And here we are in 5th edition.

Correct me if I'm wrong though. I've lost track it seems.
